check in with those on roster as a reminder, including Zoom person. This is found here.
ask if they have any requirements eg. powerpoint slides to send you. PDF’s are also ok.
Create a powerpoint to be used. This is usually done with a Google Slides as it's easy to make changes without having to send files to the technician. This is the Master Slides file we use every week. Google slides aren’t too scary to use as they’re similar to PowerPoint but with fewer bells and whistles. You can also upload your PowerPoint slides to the Zoom folder and open your file from within there using Google Slides. Then you can copy and paste the slides into the master slide file. Using tabs in your browser will help.
ask someone to lead the te reo Māori Benediction or have one handy for you to use
create order of service and send to Zoom tech
check in with Stu regarding video intro (or you could create one yourself!). These can be run by the zoom techs if you send the link to them or better yet, upload the video into the zoom folder
Check that Stu is OK to light candles (95% of the time this is true) but also be creative around whether there’s other ways of symbolising prayers.
9.45 arrive on Zoom to check in with the techs and ensure that those participating join before 10:00am to go over anything.
Stu will open Zoom service
check in again with those participating, especially if it is their first time
check sound with musos
ask someone to read the prayers for others OR do it yourself
start service video
General welcome and announcements (not open for everyone, just simple things like Matrix and Children’s Space and any special services coming up).
thanks to individuals who took part
reminder re Matrix and Children’s Space
invite people to stick around but also wish those well who want to leave
create breakout rooms: Stu will do this or if he’s not around the Tech will do this. Stu’s note: I’m assigning host privileges to CandleCam when everyone’s settled so that if my room finishes I can leave the meeting without closing everyone down. It’s also nice for people leaving to see the candles still burning.
Here’s a copy of the Order of Service for a starting point:
